LFO Shows Us How to Make Dreams Come True — Throwback Thursday

Released in 1999, this week’s Throwback is a great example of the power of music.  Boys and girls, listen up, if you have a crush on a TV star, just write a song about them and they might actually date you (or, at least, be in your music video).  Rumor is, LFO’s classic ‘Girl on TV’ was written about Jennifer Love Hewitt, who had just shot to stardom on Party of Five, and not only did she star in the video, but she may have also dated one of the band members.

Though perhaps not as popular as their hit ‘Summer Girls’, any song that mentions ‘scooby snacks’ in the lyrics deserves to be a 90s classic.

As an added bonus for you TV lovers out there, check out this cover video of ‘Girl on TV’ staring the cast of NBC’s Parenthood!
